Leslie T. Thorton, Esq. recently named Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Washington Gas Holdings, Inc. the Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Washington Gas Holdings, Inc.
Prior to this recent move, Attorney Thornton was a partner of Dickstein Shapiro LLP. She joined Dickstein in 2004, with more than twenty years of legal and executive branch experience. Ms. Thornton was part of Dickstein's Government Law & Strategy Group and focused her practice on counseling and defending large corporations in sensitive and complex internal corporate investigations, federal agency and congressional investigations, regulatory matters before federal government agencies, state attorneys general investigations, and high-level executive branch policy and political work. Prior to joining the Dickstein, Ms. Thornton spent more than four years as a partner in another Washington-based law firm, eight years as a senior executive in the Clinton Administration, and nine years defending Members of Congress and executive branch cabinet officials in congressional and criminal investigations. She is experienced in managing complex criminal and associated civil investigations, including high-profile investigations.
